Birding with the Manatees February 15, 2013

So off we go on the lookout for the Manatees. It's Dodi, Bill, Karen, Joe, Joni, Randall, Kenny, Barb, Jeff, Sian, Adam, Lynda and Robert and first thing, right around the island, there is a Limpkin, Great Egrets, Snowy Egret, Little Blue Herons and a beautiful Cardinal. No sooner do we turn the corner and a Purple Gallinule shows up, Moorhens, Coots and the Great Blue Herons. The skies became less and less cloudy, the front has moved through and the sun warmed our shoulders. The Gator, Turtles and Manatees capped off the day to make for a nice trip on the river!
