Bird Watching near Kissimmee September 17, 2014

With the first cold front of the season moving in Alan, Chris and Kenny had great weather for birding. The Kingfishers and Pied-billed Grebes are always the first to show up. There were lots of Green Herons, Little Blue and Great Blue Herons, Anhingas, Great Egrets and we saw an Osprey with a big ole' Bass flying by. There were White Ibis, Moorhens, Black and Turkey Vultures and we caught a video of a Limpkin preening. The Red-shouldered Hawks, Pileated Woodpecker and Wild Turkeys also made for a great birding day. With the added bonuses of the Turtles and yearling Gators out sunning and an overcast day we could feel the approach of the Fall season. It's always a great day on the river.
