Winter on the Silver River it's a beautiful thing!

It was like Winter on the Silver River today with a splash of Fall. The Red Maples are just now turning their briliant colors and we got to see the Otters three different times. There were four sets of Limpkins out, five Black Crowned Night Herons and usually a single sighting of either is a good find. All the others were out playing and foraging for food as well. The Wood Storks, Great Blue, Little Blue and Green Herons, White Ibis, Great Egrets with their breeding plumage on, Anhingas, Pied-billed Grebes and Cormorants. The Turtles were out in force sunning on the logs and the sky was just as blue as blue can be. It was a beautiful day to be bundled up and paddling the Silver River.
