We had a great time kayaking on Rock Springs Run today. Drifting past the Red-bellied Turtles sunning on the logs, the Little Blue Herons and White Ibis were feeding just feet away. The big Gator lying on his log near the 40 foot hole was a cool site. So was the pair of River Otters that kept popping their heads out of the water lilies. A Limpkin sat overhead as we paddled past and the Apple Snails are laying their eggs 12 inches above the water line now. A nice swim in the clear, cool water capped things off for us and made for a great day on the river... Life is good!
