Doing a little kayaking, birding and hanging out with the wildlife of Silver River rocks!

It was a picture perfect day on the Silver River today. All kinds of wildlife to see… Longnose Gar swimming just under our kayaks, lots of Turtles sunning on the logs and Birds galore. We saw Yellow-Crowned Night Herons, Great Egrets, Little Blue Herons, Limpkins, Prothonotary Warblers, White Ibis and Wood Ducks. A Red-Shouldered Hawk was pretty feisty and the river was running crystal clear. The purple Pickerel Weed, red Cardinal Flower and white Spider Lilies added a splash of color to the greens of the everyday backdrop. And we had a lone monkey show up at the end of the day, it was truly Silver River at its best!
